My Journey.. sorry long read

So I started this journey last year in November. Finished my NUT visits within the 6 months, my psych was a 2 month wait due to scheduling. After completing EVERYTHING, the insurance coordinator calls back to tell me I need a letter from my Pcp for referral. (Around August) Now at this time I had lost approx 34lbs (SW:318) jus by changing my diet alone. (I’m really not open to tell people I’m gettin the surgery because I don’t want to deal with the opinions that may come with it. However I do have a support system of friends who support my decision to jumpstart my health journey.) So now at this point I’m debating do I even need the surgery?? (LW: 282) So I ended up having to see my pcp for a breakout on my arm and something was like, just mention that you needed the referral just in case you change your mind about having the surgery. So I talked to the nurse and she gave me encouragement. She mentioned that she even had it done and doesn’t regret her decision. At this time (mid September) I’ve fallen off, but yet I was maintaining a steady weight of 286-290lbs. So I finally made up my decision that I was goin forward with the procedure. Insurance submits everything and 4 weeks later I get a call I’m approved for the procedure! Today, I’m at my pre-op and I weighed in at 291, the nurse informs me that because I gained 5lbs he may postpone or even decide NOT to do it. He comes in strong minded like “you’ve gained 5lbs since we last seen you. I’m not gonna do it”. What???!!! For 5 freakin pounds?????!!! He says that I can see if one of his colleague will do it but he won’t because it shows I’m not serious. I told him I totally disagree but to save face didn’t argue with him because I knew it was a Loss. So he says well what do you think we can do to show that you’re serious? Damn near in tears I’m like postpone it a month.. needless to say, now I have to do a 3 week liquid diet [emoji30][emoji849] (Surgery date 11/21 as long as I stick to this LD) I have so many feelings about the surgeon now but I understand it’s his choice to do it or not. I will admit It was a damn good scare tactic. My words to you guys goin thru the nut visits, stick to the lifestyle change so you won’t have any issues as such later on. Sorry I’m ranting and still in shock.
