The one I attended explained the surgical options and collected insurance info. I'd take your insurance card and a notebook.

I’m so excited does anyone know what they do during orientation

what should I bring

My first visit I spent talking to the surgeon, then the nutritionist, and then the coordinator for lack of a better word. She gave me a folder with papers in it and told me everything I needed to do and answered the rest of my questions and has been my contact person every since. That was pretty much it. From that appointment I was sent to the hospital for upper gi, blood work, and ekg. My ekg wasn't right so I had to go to the cardiologist for clearance. I did all of that and then had to get the psych evaluation. My therapist messed up my evaluation and I got denied just 2 days ago. So we are working to get it approved. Just do everything they tell you!!

Best wishes!
