I’m on my 5th month of NUT visits and I seemed to have gained 4lbs and I’ve heard horror stories of people being denied by their insurance company for gaining weight during Pre-Op visits. I have BCBS NY and for the first 4 months I remained consistent during my weigh-ins and I don’t know where this weight came from. It could be stress since my surgery will be scheduled for Dec 2017... Has anyone gained weight during pre-op visits and was still approved? I’m freaking out and in need of some answers.

I gained 6 lbs at my second weigh in, then consistently lost 3 lbs every month after. It only took 7 days to hear back from my insurance and I was approved. Try not to worry

I did just a little and was still approved. I have BCBS PPO.
