Journey Lite in Cincinnati Ohio

Hi

Anyone having surgery with Dr. Pitt or Dr Curry in Cincinnati, Ohio? I will be having VSG with Dr. Pitt on 11/20 and would love to connect with anyone having their procedure there in November.

It depends on your starting BMI. I had to do 2 weeks. I lost 14 lbs during the pre-op diet.

  • I start my 2 week pre op diet 11/6

How are you feeling? Mine will be at Jewish Hospital 11/20

It has been rough. I could not get my fluids in. Swollen esophagus. I had to go to Hospital for fluids. Still dehydrated so they put picc line in on Thursday. Now giving myself fluids. Had a better day yesterday. Was able to get about 32 oz of fluids down and some protein. Not trying to scare you. Dr Pitt and his staff have been wonderful.

Small world. I am having gastric bypass on 11/20 with Dr Pitt. I’m a few days in on my liquid diet. It’s harder than I expected!

I had a sleeve on 10/11 with Dr. Curry at the Journey Lite office. So far so good. With my pre-op diet I am down 33.2 lbs in about one month. I followed everything they said to do. I still have a hard time getting the fluids in. I average 32-40 oz a day. You have to sip constantly. Good luck. If you have not seen the website: the world according to egg face I highly recommend it. It has helped me a lot.

I love Dr. Curry and all the staff, I had no complications and I made sure I followed all the guidelines to the T. I feel AWESOME!! If you have specific questions once you get started, please don't hesitate to shoot me a message.
