Doing some deep cleaning before the surgery on 10/17 and there’s carpet in my bedroom. Dusted, vacuumed, moved things around, woke up some nasty dust bunnies...the end of the day I opened the windows and by bedtime I couldn’t breathe from one nostril it was so stuffed up and ended up pulling my CPAP mask off after 15 minutes because it was so hard to breathe.
Woke up fine this morning but now I have a sore throat and thats sometimes a bad sign for me due to my asthmatic bronchitis, but not always!! Anyway, I’m drinking ginger lemon honey tea and freaking out! Clearly I can’t have surgery if I’m sick...
If I get on antibiotics now “just in case” will they allow me to go through with surgery on them? I know they’re usually 10-14 days worth (the 5 day Z-pac doesn’t work on me) I hate doing that if I’m not really sick due simply to people’s abuse of them and the whole antibiotic resistance issue. And I don’t know what affect antibiotics in the body have in relation to VSG surgery.
Normally I’d wait it out and see how it progresses but I have this pretty important date in a week and I either go through with it or consider giving them enough time to cancel and potentially reschedule someone in my place [emoji29]
I guess I’m thinking out loud (!) and would like to hear your thoughts....many thanks [emoji1431]
