Nervous beyond explanation

So I had my last pre op appointment today! Super nervous! People in the waiting room talking about their experiences so far. Negativity and non compliance should be put in a bubble in waiting rooms! I'm more nervous now than before. Pre op diet starts 9/27 and surgery 10/4. I haven't shared my plans with friends or family. Support is low. But I'm doing it for me. I'm pretty motivated and when I put my mind to something I do it. So I'm ignoring the surrounding nonsense. But wish I had more support.

You've got it here. Good luck!

Different people have different experiences. I had almost no pain and no trouble getting things down. Sick to death of protein shakes at this point--and sweet things generally. Real food at the end of the week; can't wait. But have lost weight and it's still coming off and I'm not hungry at all.

The first couple of weeks post-op aren't much fun, but believe everyone who says it does get better.

I agree with XYZ, I have had a complication free surgery and recovery. Just a week when I felt absolutely no hunger and was getting weak from not eating enough. The toughest part for was preop especially the first 5 days. I have had no pain, no vomiting and losing at a steady pace. Talk to your doctor about your fears. Don't listen to negative voices.
