I know your pain. It hurt to drink right after surgery. I had to drink room temp water and even then I sipped all day and struggled. Hang in there. It gets better. I've had about 65 ounces of water today!

I'm day 3 an I still feel that way hoping it gets better though as I came home today my stomach is in butts I do have a small amount of Gurd n I'm overly exsausted to be honest I hope it gets better for u as well

I'm day 3 as well and the indigestion is the worst but I got gas x strips that dissolve in mouth and I'm walking too which seems to help hang in there it's hard I know but it will get better!!!! I pray a lot!!!!!!!!

Too! Gas x strips and walking really have made a difference but knowing when I'm full has been hard except pain when food is moving thru stomache! I do miss food but I rather have a happy sleeve than a mad one it's a mentally thing I have to overcome!!!!

I found laying flat on my back with a heating pad on my chest helped with the indigestion. Also, warm liquids helps.

The first week is very tough..... but it will get better. I'm 16 days post op.... and just starting to feel like myself.

Can't wait to b at the point I feel like myself!!!

You will get there. Hang in there. I know it's very frustrating at the beginning.... you're thirsty but can't drink because it hurts... the water might taste too sweet. I added a squeeze of lemon in my water.

The first week I also had pain with drinking water. I drank room temp water and sipped very slowly. I was very worried but other posts let me know it would pass. It did. I'm almost 4 weeks out and the pain stopped after a week and I can drink ice water and take a normal swallow. It keeps getting easier. The pain stopped after a week or so. Good luck!
