Donate blood?

I have been a long-time blood donor and am wondering if any of you are still able to donate after having RNY?

I have a sleeve but I do it regularly. It's not an exclusion, so why not? Once you are able to get enough liquid and iron in.

I had RNY and I donate blood and platelets all the time. No exclusions, no worries. Good luck!

I used to donate blood and platelets but ever since the surgery my iron levels have been too low and I was told by my doctor to not donate blood. I did donate one time after surgery and all was fine except my iron levels never recovered so my doc said no more whole blood donations for me. Platelets are okay if my iron level is in a higher range at the time.
I think it all depends on your iron levels.
