I don't think anyone has normal BMs postop. It seems about 65% get constipated, and the rest have diarrhea. It may last until you are on solids. Try taking probiotics. Won't hurt, might help.

I started with the worst constipation of my life to water then would have liquid stool once or twice a week. Finally stabilized around 2 months.

I think I'd follow up with your doctor. They can make sure everything's on track and give suggestions on how to make it stop. Si sorry it's so rough! Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 191 GW 135

Hey everyone! I am one week and one day post op and still on full liquids. I went from being totally constipated which I know is normal anyway post surgery, especially abdominal, to now the total opposite. [emoji20] My liquids are the same, I haven't introduced anything new: same soups/broth/protein drinks. I'm struggling to get all my water in and now this. Ugh! Is this just my body adjusting?? Anyone else have anything similar? Thanks guys!
