RNY June 14th. Hadn't had period in 9 years. 3 days after surgery got it. Now I know that's normal. However is it normal to still be bleeding 7 weeks later? I am. And it sucks! I have lost 55lbs over the last 7 weeks and my starting weight was 310. I do have the implanon in my arm.

Any suggestions and or anyone else experience this?

Have you called your gynecologist, or have you asked your surgeon?

If it's heavy, it absolutely can be dangerous. If it is just spotting, it probably isn't dangerous. Even a "normal" flow will be depleting you since you are on a limited diet.

Definitely talk to a doctor about this. They may want to do something to get it to stop, or at least monitor you more closely.
