The amazing moving Port!

I went to have my first fill today and my doc had trouble finding the port..even under Fluoro. He said it had moved about an inch way from where he said it should have been. I joked that the next time I go for a fill it'll be in my big toe :biggrin1:...but now I've got to thinking..has anyone else's port moved? What did your doc say about it?

The fill went fine after he found the port. He put in 1cc in my lil ole 4cc band. Now the sucky part 2 days of liquids and a day of mushie..I guess it could be worse I could be on 2 weeks of liquids..ugh!

DID YOUR DOC SAY WETHER IT,S NORMAL FOR THE PORT TO MOVE? OR IS IT LIKELY TO MOVE AGAIN? I AM HAVING MY FIRST FILL NEXT FR OCT19TH AND I WILL HAVE TO DO THREE DAYS LIQUIDS AND THREE DAYS MUSHIES. PRE OP I HAD TO DO THREE WEEKS LIQUIDS AND THREE WEEKS MUSHIES, GUESS THE DOCS ARE A BIT OVER CAUTIOUS HERE.STILL I,M SURE IT WILL BE WORTH IT:clap2:

lainee...my doc just kinda shrugged it off...I thought was odd but he's not overly worried...but if we go in and its moved again I'm going to freak!

IF YOUR DOC,S NOT TOO WORRIED THEN IT MUST BE OK, TRY NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT TOO MUCH, I JUST WONDERED IF IT WAS A COMMON THING TO HAPPEN?

I would worry if it moved, it de-tached. If it de-tached it can flip.

Is it maybe that you lost weight, so the place it was stitched into, just moved an inch??

If you're like me, when it flips, doctor can't get into it.

And I know some people it flips, but not all the way around, so they just have to be tricky to get into it.

My doctor did another surgery to move my port to somewhere that doesn't 'move' and I'm less likely to rip it out again.
