Joining the losers bench August 10

I had my pre-op appointment with my surgeon today. Things are getting so real!

I am grateful that he is a bit different from other surgeons because he he doesn't require a liquid diet if your BMI is under 40. The only thing is no red meat 5 days before and no food after lunch the day before.

My only problem is that I have to remember that doesn't give me free reign to go overboard before surgery. I had to remind myself of that many times this afternoon.

He is having me drink Gatorade and take a Celebrex the night before and the morning of to help with electrolytes and pain. I'm curious how the Celebrex helps with pain?

Just one more test on Thursday at the hospital and then I'm good to go.

My anxiety hasn't set in yet but I know I'm going to be a mess next week.

Good luck to you all. I'm looking forward to reading about everyone's journey.

  • I only had a 4 day diet with 1 meal a day. He did tell me no sugar though to help shrink the liver. Good luck with your surgery. I hope it goes well! Mich W Hw 223, SW 217 CW 195 GW 135
