Port infection??

So I've had a very 'bruised' looking port site for a whole and assumed it was just that. A bruise. Yesterday, it opened up and now I can see my port and a yellow ***** (non stinky) goo came out.

I am seeing my GP tomorrow and he will refer me back to my band surgeon. Just wondering if anyone else had had this and if so, how was it dealt with and what does it mean? Thanks.
