Denture fit

Has anyone had any problems with their dentures not fitting after surgery? As of yet I don't have dentures but am considering them before the year is out. My dental and surgery insurance will no longer be available to me next year so I'm trying to get everything done.

I'm a nurse. When people lose weight their dentures do not fit properly.

Oh gee, I was afraid of that. I go to the dentist on 7/26.

Talk to the dentist. Maybe there is a way to adjust them later.

Great question! ...and response. I am in a solar situation. I am ready for dentures AND done with all testing, waiting for appt with surgeon for surgery date. I guess the remedy is to expect adjustments as we lost weight???

I need dentures to be able even to eat certain foods OR stay on a semi-soft diet.
