My gallbladder was diagnosed as non-working. I need it out, but think my insurance is going to deny my sleeve surgery. Thinking plan b will be to have both done in Mexico. Just now looking at options.

You have to be careful. If sleeve is not medically necessary. Insurance company can deny coverage for complications

My primary care physician is on board with me getting mine out at the time of the sleeve in Mexico. The cost is $1000 more with some Mexico Dr's vs having to pay my $4000 deductible in the US if it becomes a problem after losing weight. I was interested to see if anyone did it and if they wish they didn't. I'm on the fence since I haven't had any gall bladder attacks myself but the rest of my family has had issues. I have heard that it can become a issue after rapid weight loss.

I had mine left in. They have me medication to keep it safe so far so good

best of luck to you. Steve
