Starving to death!!

Hi all! I started my liquid diet yesterday and feel like I am starving to death. My head hurts, my stomach is very upset and I am weak. Has anyone else experienced this? Doe it go away?:hungry:

My liquid diet is still very fresh in my mind. I actually posted a pic of myself on the front of my refrigerator to help remind me what I was doing this for. I did start my liquids earlier than required, just to minimize the shock to my system. I'm not sure which liquids you are allowed to have, but mine was Protein Shakes 2 times per day and broth for a meal. I limited it to 3-4 ozs of broth........ and LOTS of Water between meals. So much I thought I was going to drown...LOL

Once you get the band, even without a fill, the liquids fill you up quicker. Good luck, Dave

Oh Saintluver I feel your pain!!

Four more days of pre-op diet for me! Some days the coffee table legs have looked like a gourmet meal! The idea of the variety of fluids available post op is almost too exciting!

The headaches will get better, and you literally CANNOT drink too much water! Some days, like Dave01 I'm sure I'm going to float away, but it does make an enormous difference to both the hunger and the headaches. I found adding a few drops of lemon juice to a 2litre bottle of Water made it much more palatable, and my surgeon didn't have a problem with that.

Good luck, it will be worth it!

I got it at Wal Mart by the boullion cubes. I have also gotten it at Albertsons and Whole Foods. Its always by the soups/broths/boullions. It really is heartier and more filling than just broth.
