Pain ball

I had my sleeve done June 22. My doctor left a pain ball connected to my stomach via small tubes and told my husband he could take them out super easy, when I was ready. Not sure if anyone else had one of these but I am so ready to not have tubes on me. But I am hesitant to take it off yet since I don't know how much pain it is preventing. Has anyone had one of these and if yes, when did you get it off? I could have had it taken off the morning after my surgery but it still had a lot of medicine left in it.
