Food Processor-Friend or Foe?

I just got a food processor and I am amazed at how find I can grind up meat! Therefore, i am grinding up meat and putting it in broth as I an still on a semi-liquid diet. Is this wrong? It jsut seems like a heathier way to get protein instead of powering everything. Yech:confused: But I'm worried that I will over eat because everything goes down with no problem when it has been ground so fine. I've been losing weight but this seems like cheating. I do eat a lot less at each sitting! I haven't tried grinding up browines yet! :)lol But please let me know if I'm doing harm to anything...

My food processor is my friend! I find that if I grind meats up fine like chicken salad or tuna salad that I can eat them more comfortably. I don't, however, grind every thing up. You are still on a restricted diet so be sure to do what your doc says. After you are on solids, do what works for you. Just make sure to avoid eating ONLY soft and ground up foods once you are on a regular diet. It WILL make you eat more. Also, just because ANY food can be ground up (like brownies), it doesn't mean you should eat them LOL. Just follow doc's advice and make good food choices later and you will be fine.......Goodluck.

I love meat, always have. Sometimes I just can't get enough in to get my protein requirements. I am thinking about adding in some shakes to increase my protein intake. I agree with the OP though, ground up brownies sound soooo good but I must resist....must resist....must resist. Can u tell that I LOVE brownies????
