VSG Mentor?

I'm soooo glad I found this thread!

I'm getting my surgery date next week (eek!) and I'm super nervous about a support system. All of my friends are thin (I'm not telling them about the surgery) and my family isn't being very supportive. Would anyone be interested in being my VSG mentor? I'd love to have someone to talk to who understands :-)

    I don't have a surgery date, yet, but these boards have been a great "mentor" themselves.

    Outside of that, have you looked into local support meetings? My surgeon is a big believer in them.
