Didn't have to do a liquid diet... just a 2 week low carb, low fat and small portions. I lost 12 pounds in that 2 weeks.

But it really doesn't matter. The pre-op diet is to shrink your liver so that they can get to your stomach easier. If your liver is enlarged, they will abort the surgery.
