Congratulations! I am excited for you to join us on the loser's bench. My advice is to take it slow. Don't judge how you are doing by how others are doing. We all lose the weight at different rates. Try not to get frustrated. Don't weigh yourself every day. Try to stay on program and keep your eye on the prize (your weight loss goal).

And remember, your WLS family is here to support you as you go through your journey.

I had my bypass done on Tuesday. My advice is get up and walk as much as possible afterward. And if they don't give them to you automatically, ask for mouth moisteners because your mouth will probably be really dry. Other than that, do what Redmaxx said. Oh! And especially don't weigh yourself the day you go home from the hospital because your weight will likely be higher than you went in with due to all the fluids, swelling, and gas from the surgery.

Congratulations and good luck!!! You've got this!
