Hi! I'm in the process of getting banded at St. Mary's Duluth Clinic. I don't have a surgery date yet, but it will probably be sometime in March. I'd love to chat about how your experience has been. mrspete, I was banded at St. Mary's on May 28. I just have a quick question for you, how long after you were banded did you get your first fill? I have my 2 week post-op appt this wednesday and I was under the influence that this appt included getting a fill but now Im not too sure. Thanks!

Hi- my first fill was at 7 weeks. My second fill was at 8 months. I am feeling like my second fill has brought me to a place I am comfortable. Congratulations to you! It is a long, slow journey but well worth it. Be aware that you need to be in the head game with the process, your head must always be in it. I didn't have support or knowledge from other banders in the beginning, but I have joined the chat room at this site and found great support from a great group. You CAN do this, just follow the rules, and realize it is a journey not a race. Congrats again! Mrs Pete
