Hi! I'm in the process of getting banded at St. Mary's Duluth Clinic. I don't have a surgery date yet, but it will probably be sometime in March. I'd love to chat about how your experience has been. I'm new to this whole form of communication, but I've been checking this website a couple of times a week now. Hope to hear from you!

mrspete, I was banded at St. Mary's on May 28. I just have a quick question for you, how long after you were banded did you get your first fill? I have my 2 week post-op appt this wednesday and I was under the influence that this appt included getting a fill but now Im not too sure. Thanks!

Hi- my first fill was at 7 weeks. My second fill was at 8 months. I am feeling like my second fill has brought me to a place I am comfortable. Congratulations to you! It is a long, slow journey but well worth it. Be aware that you need to be in the head game with the process, your head must always be in it. I didn't have support or knowledge from other banders in the beginning, but I have joined the chat room at this site and found great support from a great group. You CAN do this, just follow the rules, and realize it is a journey not a race. Congrats again! Mrs Pete
