Trouble with Vitamins

So I had the worst time taking vitamins! I kept being told over and over again... so I started researching ways to take vitamins other than pills (never been good at pills) and gummys(which my doc said NOT to do) and came across liquid or iv. Iv is way to expensive for my ass! So in looking into liquid I came across the Tespo... it's kinda like a Keurig for vitamins... it mixes a powder with water for a shot glass of vitamins... they have a Bariatric bundle pack...you take Bariatric in morning and evening and woman's complete midday.. woman's complete tastes like tang and the Bariatric is a more bitter version of tang... my surgeon said I do have to add more *Iron and more *calcium .. but otherwise he approved ... they have great costumer service and offer discounts for autoship and bundle ( they do men's and children pods) you ship that pods back as well (so more green) 30 day money back guarantee (except for shipping). This has worked out for me quite well ... if you are having trouble I would suggest trying it... if you use this link it should give you $50 off your machine...

I can answer any questions you may have! And if you call them they will answer everything! I spent 30 mins on the phone asking things before I ever bought! It!!

My post was in no way passive aggressive. Perhaps in the future it may be better not to make assumptions and perhaps not make posts if your expectation is that everyone is going to agree with you 100%

This is often regurgitated by people selling vitamins. A quick Google search starting at "liquid" and ending at "bloodstream" resulted in exactly what I suspected, pages full of supplement sellers try

I think you're simply making way too much of what he said. I've read it over and over again trying to see how this might upset someone. All he did was cite what is true.. it works for most people. Har

I don't think there's a wrong calcium to take, just need to know how to best utilize it. For example, if you're taking carbonate and most other variants, always take it with food, both for best absorption and to avoid it making you feel sick by having it on an empty stomach. Citrate.. doesn't matter.

Really? I'll look in to that and stick to the Viactiv that I've been using. I'll also see what the surgeon says too. So far, he's not so strict like some are. Only this drink, that vitamin, etc. Thanks for the hope!

Yep. The thing about citrate I find, at least in Canada (this is one of those situations where I miss the US), is it's very annoying to find in liquid or chewable form.. just how I personally prefer it. Also I prefer it for the flexibility of having it on an empty stomach because I take so many other vitamins and, moreover, medication, the latter of which I must have food with. To avoid interactions I space them out, especially Calcium/Vitamin D supplements from everything else.

No doubt get as much info from your surgeon (and dietitian/nutritionist if you have one) as possible. More info can never hurt as long as it's not from one of those sites that pimp supplements and make stuff up that one cannot find any backup on when reading science journals.

Maybe try vitd and calcium 50000...yes 50000 but you take it once a week. I have a problem with malabsorping, has nothing to do with surgery...but vitd and calcium levels having been improving a great deal.

Thanks for your post. Does the Tespo machine make a lot of noise?

Also, how much liquid does it dispense at a time. In the video, it looks like maybe 2oz or so?

It does make some noise because it vibrates the the pod to get all powder out into the water... and then spins the cup to mix... I wouldn't say it's that loud though...
I think it's only about an once, the cup is like slightly bigger than a votive candle holder...
I have noticed some of the powder gets on the machine so I just use a small paint brush to brush it into the cup. That's the only thing I noticed that I don't like... but I did email them my feedback on that ..
