Food Cravings at Work

Recommended Posts

I know I can't expect everyone around the office to not eat anything I can't have but it's so hard! I'm 4 weeks post op gastric bypass so I'm on soft foods. I've been back to work a week and have had several crying sessions because I feel sorry for myself because I can't have that food. I'm learning a new way of thinking about food but my question is:

Does anyone have a tips to surviving life in an office post op?

Oh hon don't focus on what you can't have. Focus what you will be able to have the most amazing experience losing weight, doing things you weren't able to do before, being healthier, looking hot !!!! When all else fails just go lick a Dorito chip that used to help me get through the tough times lol. Hang in there. This is one of the toughest things to go through and you've already made it to the toughest part..the 1st four weeks !!!!!

I'm 5 weeks post-op and I guess I'm lucky cause all the junk food doesn't even look appetizing to me. We've had several parties at work with all kinds of junk food and I just ignore it. I wish I had some words of wisdom for you. I try not to make food the center of my life now. I focus on eating to live and not the other way around. And I guess seeing the results so far makes it easier to stick to it. Good luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
