Hi, I'm Amy, I'm 48, live in PA and I just had my surgery on monday. I'm looking to talk to anyone that has recently had or is going to have gastric sleeve.

I'll be 4 weeks post op on 3/10 & I've lost 25 lbs.

I am 2 weeks post op today and I have a total lost since surgery of 10lbs. Overall loss of 23. I feel like I'm progressing in the right direction.

My sleeve was 2/15, I'm down 18# since surgery. No pain, overall feel pretty good. Yesterday, the weather was nice so I went for a walk, then some light housework, and made dinner for the family. It was then I realized that I had been so busy that I had forgot to drink h20 for several hours, and I felt it. (The pre surgery me would have just drank down 20 oz with a straw in minutes. Not now.) I then spent the rest of the evening sipping water all night.

I need to remember to drink while I'm working, Lifestyle changes post surgery, #learning curve. That's why physically I feel I can go back to work next week, I"m off till April. But mentally I need to stay off. I have short term disability ,so I am lucky, I know some have to return to work sooner. I saved up my vacation time from last year to supplement the STD in preparation for this. At work I'm so busy sometimes I don't drink or eat, I need to retrain myself before going back to work.
