    angry and betrayed

Wow, what a mess. You almost have to be a Dr in order to talk to or go to a Dr. If you don't have the exact questions to ask, you don't get the information you need. I'm so sorry all this has happened. I was sleeved last week and do far so good. The pain was not at all awful. I had a total hysterectomy last year, and the pain was far more. I, too, get horribly "backed up" from pain killers, so I've been through what you're suffering. I was actually put in the hospital it got so bad, I can now tell people I was in fact, full of shit. Lol So please consider your option and weigh the differences. I'm not sure why you preferred 1 over the other, but the sleeve is proven to work and surgery will only need to be on 1 organ. Good luck to you.
  6. Hi James, my prayers go out to you. I was sleeved on 2-20 and last Friday, sat, and most of Sunday were horrible for me. I posted a similar post on this site myself and these great people were very quick to respond with well wishes. It DOES get better. For me it was yesterday. I, too was feeling remorseful and panic stricken. I wanted to take it all back. It just seemed like I'd done something terrible to myself. I gave myself some time, and I see things much better now and I'm ready to tackle my new me. Good luck to you.
  7. I'm doing well. I see my Dr on Wednesday. I, too, went to the market yesterday. First time I was out. No more pain meds and no problems tolerating anything. I'm anxious to see the Dr to affirm I'm progressing. I've no staples, I'm glued, boy am I itchy.
  8. I mix mine in the blender, thins it out.

Surgery 2/28.... First two week Key pointers?!

I bought a whey protein on amazon. I use a blender to mix it, it's awful to do by hand. I've had broth, too. I've had a hard time with it, smell. Ewwww I'm also getting my chewable vitamin in everyday. Good luck to you. Love to hear from you after.

Surgery 2/28.... First two week Key pointers?!

Glitter is always appropriate, lol, love it! Anyway good luck Tuesday! I was done 2-20, came home 2-22 and hanging in there. I followed my 2 week liquid diet, my weigh in at surgery showed a loss of 5 pounds. More annoyed I could not have been. But I knew I did what I was supposed to do. I believe I've lost another 8 pounds since surgery. I'm sipping water non stop, I make 1 8oz protein shake a day with skim milk and I split it up and drink. I was eating light and fit van yogurt, but today I got some Greek instead. Much higher in protein. From what I've read, here, hospital, and Dr instructions, water and protein and soon activity are going to be key. I feel I can never have too much info and I'm also a rule follower, aka nerd, so I hope all is well at my 1st appt wed.
  13. How are you all doing? What are you eating in a day? I'm drinking some protein, eating some nonfat yogurt, some soup and that's about it. Oh and water. Water. Are you sleeping, I'm struggling.
  14. I just had the sleeve on 2-20. I came home on Wednesday, had a great day Thursday, and woke in a funk yesterday and slept all day and woke in a funk again today. I feel like something is missing or a part of me is missing. I feel like I've made the biggest mistake of my life, yet I'm not sure of the reason why. I'd love to here anything from anyone that may have felt like this after the surgery. I'm feeling kind of scared and sad.
  15. I just had my surgery on monday. I came home from the hospital yesterday and I was a little emotional yesterday, second guessing my decision and feeling an emptiness?? Emotionally better today, physically I don't feel bad at all. Trying to keep moving.
