I'm two weeks post op today and have been on puréed foods for a week. Vitamix soups blended to liquid have been going well. I have comfortably been eating 2-3oz of soup or 2oz of cottage cheese. Last night I ate 3oz of a potato/chicken/spinach vitamix soup completely puréed but a little thicker than liquid due to the potato starch. No problem. THEN....I had the same thing for lunch today and ended up in excruciating pain in the stomach area. I haven't had any pain in my stomach, only a tightness in my chest in the beginning if I took a swallow too much the first couple days.
Is it possible I suddenly regained feeling in my stomach?? Or, did I eat too much somehow and blow my staples out? The pain lasted about 45 mins. I laid down on my left side (thank you Lord for a couch in my office) and then it eased. It's like I am suddenly VERY 'aware' of my stomach.
I never want to eat again. Anyone have this experience?
