Hi,

I thiink 40 pounds in 14 weeks is an amazing result! You should be proud. Why can you only keep down salads and soft foods? Is your fill too tight? Maybe you are craving sugar because you are not getting enough calories and/or Protein? I'm not banded yet, but hope to be soon. I would call your surgeon's office.

Best of luck to you!

Margie

Normal weight loss with a properly filled Lap-Band is 1-2 pounds per week, you are losing faster than that.

Watch out for sugar, the more you eat, the more you will want it.

I am scheduled for surgery at the end of Oct. My Dr. told me today that because of my body type and that I tend to loose weight very quickly that there is a chance I may loose about 40-50 pounds in a 12 week time frame. has anyone else Dr. told them this? Can anyone shed light on what I should expect right after surgery?
