I would live to learn more about this and what people are doing

  • 2 weeks later...

I have not gone through surgery yet. So I don't know what you can and can't have for that aspect. I have run 3 half marathons though weighing over 200 pounds. For fuel, I used shot blocks (they are gummies) and Gu. Otherwise, before a run, I'd have a few extra carbs like a piece of toast. Some people make a trail mix. Running boards have great information for fueling choices. I also found instead of water, I'd mix half G2 with water. That was a big help. Good luck!

When I find my motivation to do endurance again, I'd like to complete one more, just to remind myself what I'm capable of. Running taught me perseverance like nothing else in my life.
