My doctor submitted precertification to insurance last Thursday. Does anyone how long it will take? Should I call the insurance company? Thank you.

I would call insurance in a few days. Mine was approved a week before I finally called. Who knows when they would have sent it. I have bcbsil and was waiting for the pre authorization as well

I waited 2 weeks then called the doctor's office to check. They had just gotten the written approval that day and were able to schedule me while I was on the phone.

hey guys im going through the process of getting surgery . Im on my third month and I already got a precertification approval by mail . But still have 3 months to go how is this even possible???
