Abdominal Abscess

I went to the hospital and they told me I have an abscess. I have no idea what that is. It's probably related to the surgery as I've been having pain. Anyone know what that is and what are the causes for this?

    An abcess is just a fancy word for infection. Sadly easy to get between surgery and a hospital full of other ill folk. Antibiotics (via iv-at this point, Id think) should get you thru it.

    Hoping just a minor thing in your journey.

    It depends on how big the pocket of pus is. They might need to debride it(scrape it out) or drain it.if it is small they will leave it.youll problably get IV antibiotics
