Restriction Frustration

4 weeks out.

liquids (except water) go down very well, like 10oz at a time. I can easily put away 4-6oz of pureed - especially yogurt. Soft and solid food isn't going well. eggs, about an ounce at a time and I tried Cod last night - maybe 2 tablespoons. Please tell me this gets better soon. I'm so frustrated with eating, I just want to stay in the pureed stage. I know I need to progress, so will it just happen naturally if I just stick with it? I'm not getting sick, just very full very fast.

You should get to satiated on very little food, that's kind of the point of the restriction :) It does ease up over time, now I can eat as much as 4 oz of dense Protein at times, much less at others. The best advice I can give you, from my 6 months of experience, is to slooooooooooow down, chew veryvery well and don't drink with your dense foods.

I think it sounds like you are right where you should be. Capacity does increase as you heal and swelling goes down. At a year out I can eat much more than post op....but my capacity is not close to pre op. Take advantage of this honeymoon period because it doesn't last. Best of luck!

Getting over years of large volumes takes time.

Have you tried using tiny eating utensils, plates and bowls ?
