Make it work?

How are you guys making it work? I'm pre surgery and I'm nervous about giving into cravings when I have surgery. I have no control when it comes to food. If I want something I have to have it.

I am not sure if I am normal, I am fairly new. And my experience is with gastric bypass, but I am not hungry. At all. I eat and drink because I am supposed to, for fuel. My kids made Christmas Cookies last weekend. I had one. My favorite, a peppermint pinwheel. It was tasty. And I haven't felt the need for another. We all have overeating and craving issues or we wouldn't be here, but the "tool" makes such a difference.

What was your relationship with food before surgery?

Mandat89: I was an emotional eater, boredom eater, and I just really enjoyed food too! Taking the time before surgery to explore why you eat and begin to change your patterns will help you be successful after surgery.
