Ok people, let's talk Protein shakes. Which do you love, which do you hate & why? I'm pre-op and saw my surgeon today. I've gained and he wants me to start drinking Protein Shakes now to help me lose but I have no idea where to start.

Before surgery most of them were fine to me, post-surgery my taste buds are messed up. I tried a million of them and could only get down Premier vanilla or chocolate. Now almost 6 weeks out I am so sick of them, trying to stick with Vitamin water and getting the rest from foods (although I can't eat much) Stay tuned, I am sure I will be on to something else next week.

I use Boost Glucose Control (even though I'm not diabetic) they're pretty good. Planning tl also get some premier Protein after surgery (9 days!!!!!)

No surgery date yet bc I have to have a 2nd upper endoscopy (doc found ulcers during the 1st one & put me on meds to hopefully heal them) but that's the only thing holding me up.

Premier protein is great, no after taste but make sure you drink it cold!!!!!

I was drinking Premier Protein for my Pre-Op and I had no problems and I liked it, but after surgery I DON'T like any. Hopefully as time past I'll start liking them again

Oh, OK. Pulling for you. I'm sure you'll do great! Meanwhile, I'm getting antsy, almost done with all of the steps and still haven't met the surgeon yet. All of the testing is coordinated through his office and my PCP. *Shrug*
