Oh Thunder ME ME ME

I'm excited for everyone here, I am always amazed at everyone's determination, and this is a huge step for so many!!!!

With that said I have noticed something that is really pretty rude attention seeking and here are a couple examples would be when some makes an announcement about something like being a week away from surgery and they get an attention seeker respond with a ton of me me me junk making the entire thing about themselves.

Or when someone vents and they get a dramatic me me me clearly trying for a one up response.

And my favorite is when something is posted up and some responds with something completely off the wall and totally about them self like a "Today is the Day" post and they get the "My surgery is in 2 weeks and I just started blah blah blah".

We are here to support each other, we need to be mindful and thoughtful of others and how they might perceive your comments, and everyone's program is different, every journey is different. Everyone deserves their Thunder!!!

You are right, this is a support group and most come on here for support. Others jump on and create drama....

I just have to ask the question.......how is it possible that you know the intent of the posters? Maybe posters are simply looking for support and others are reading more into it?

I could read into your post what might not really be there. I like to give the benefit to the poster that they really are reaching out for help.

Thats just me......

I've been on this site for over a year. It's unfortunate to see the negativity that has driven many people away.

I belive it's the change people have made a drastic impact on the sight. I don't see any other way but to not respond to the B.S. I only take what is valuable.

Still hopeful that this can become a better place.

I have to agree with Djmohr, I like to think that everyone isn't being ME SEEKERS!!! Each and every person comes from dfferent back grounds. Let's just be nice and try to help each other!!

I always like it when you're in a thread and someone totally thread Jack's with a random question about themselves that has nothing to do with the topic. Here's an example:

*Thread about goal weight*

Person 1: " I'd like to get to 130"

Person 2: "I haven't really set a goal weight"

Thread jacker: "I'm 2 weeks out and really having trouble eating and drinking because it hurts when I swallow. Why does it still hurt?"

Now, I understand they may feel they have everyone's undevided attention to address the question, but for God sakes START A NEW THREAD.

Okay, rant over :)
