After dealing with insurance since MARCH i was finally approved after going through the appeal process! I am having my band taken out due to leaking a 3rd time and am having the sleeve put in! I am so excited to start this new journey. When i first got the band i worked so hard and went from 285 down to about 190 in less than a year but then i was diagnosed w cancer and all the steroids put MOST of the weight back on. I'm in remission now which is amazing but the band just doesn't work for me anymore (so many leaks) so i am unbelievably excited to get the sleeve! I have my surgery on the 21st this month!! and am trying to get everything ready. If y'all could help me out by giving me any ideas of what to prepare for..like what to get done at home before i go? What to pack? Anything i can buy? I think i got it all but maybe y'all got something i just haven't thought of or haven't been told. Thanks
