Finally sleeved!

My surgery was this morning (11/8) and I feel pretty good right now, even with minor doses of the pain med from the button.

The oddest thing was that I expected to be starving, but I'm not, even watching FoodTV, it's a very distant feeling, more like "eh, that's neat". Before, hunger was a evening feeling and I could taste what I was seeing. Odd.

I've been up and walking, visiting the restroom, all of that. What I am looking forward to is swallowing Water for hydration tomorrow, this dry mouth is killing me.

I have one question for be vets, though - how long did you go before 'buyer's remorse' set in?

I was sleeved 11/7 and the first day I was so in and out of it I don't think I had much time to even consider how much pain I was in. Now yesterday before I got to go home I had a little meltdown because I hadn't slept well the night before the nurses were coming in constantly with shots getting blood work etc. on top of that the gas pain and the soreness in my abdomen was just too much I was SO ready to go home. I am feeling a thousand times better in my own bed not having to be strapped up to several things that I need assistance with just to use the restroom. There truly is no place like home! Im so happy your doing well! Congratulations friend. Sending healing energy your way! You will do great!
