When having surgery in Tijuana Mexico I will be bringing along my mother where is it that she will be staying with me all the time or in the hotel while I am in the hospital?

Sent from my XT1055 using the BariatricPal App

I think it depends. I didn't have my surgery in Mexico. But my sister stayed with me in the hospital overnight (only because she didn't want me to be alone; she's my twin sister and we are very close). It depends on what your mother would prefer to do. She doesn't have to stay with you, as long as she drives you. It would probably be best that she stays with you until you come out of your surgery, because the doctor likes to talk to family members about how things went, what aftercare needs to be done, what you need to drink, etc. If she wants to go back to the hotel, and doesn't mind letting you rest alone, then that would be fine. She is not required to stay with you, unless she prefers to.
