If it is like most hospitals, they will give you special mesh underwear with pads to use. No tampons, no wearing your own undies. Let the nurse know when you check in and they will take care of it. It is not a big deal to them, they see it every day when women come to the hospital.

    mine came the day before. I just brought pads with me and my own underwear. they were removed prior to surgery and I went commando for the surgery itself.

    Thanks guys i called the office and the coordinator said not once in the history of their office have they had that question so she had to call me back????? I have heavy cycles so its a bit embarrassing. Also my doctor being a young gorgeous doctor makes it even more embarrassing lol. But like you said this is life and oh well.
