Stomach Issues

Gurgling continues. Gas X strips don't work. Now have a burning feeling after eating. I've researched and found several reasons from ulcers to possibly eating too fast. It's more discomfort. I go to surgeon next Tuesday for 6 month post op visit (RNY).

    I am 8 month post op amd still have gurgling. Try eating very slow and chewing your food until it is mushy enough to swallow. Did they give you anything for reflux?

    I was taking med for reflux and I continued post op (40mg Prilosec). I think my fast eating is part of the problem... Hopefully it is nothing serious.

    Several possible things - have you talked w/ MD about possible hiatal hernia. The gurgle can come from the flap of skin that closes of your esophagus not closing right.

    Second, Carafate and Protonix together can eliminate the acid reflux and make the burning stop
