I am new to the site, I am going through the the pre operative stages, getting all my clearances from the specialists

I am a little nervous about the psych evaluation because I don't know what I expect.....

The psych eval is easy. They just want to be sure you understand what the surgery entails, have a support system, etc. Mine asked questions about my weight history, what I have tried before to lose, etc.

I was trying to get psych evaluation moved up but no luck. Next available is 10/28. Hate wasting this whole month. Good luck!

The psych eval was easy breezy. She asked questions that would show signs of eating disorders, asked about stress and my home life, made sure I had enough intelligence to understand the decision I was making, and asked about my psych history. I was extremely worried about the last part as I had/have PTSD, a string of psych misdiagnoses to go with it, and anxiety. I passed, bc I don't have any active/uncontrolled issues that would impair my judgement.
