Two weeks out

Hi everyone! I was sleeved two weeks ago. Lost 12 pounds the first week and one pound the second week ( that was hard to see) anyway, I am struggling a little bit emotionally. I seem to have the smell of a bloodhound now and every smell makes me super grossed out. I can now eat normal foods , according to my dr, but it all kind of grosses me out. I still have so little energy and I think that is what is making me so down. I worry I will never feel good again ( yes I know that this is irrational) . I am def not getting in enough Protein and am vowing to find some Protein powder to start today , I just can't take the shakes anymore .

Anyway,.... Just hoping to get a little encouragement I guess

It's hard in the early weeks. I cried almost every day worrying that I would never feel "normal" again. You will get there! I promise. It may not be your old normal, but you will get to a new normal and be able to live your life like a real human being again. It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel so early out, but you will look back at these posts one day and it will all be a distant memory. Just focus on one step at a time right now. Work on your protein! Go to GNC or Vitamin Shoppe, if you have one in your area, and try some sample sizes. Try getting your protein from other sources too. I relied heavily on greek yogurt and string cheese in my early weeks post-op.
