Fluids question

Hi all, I had my surgery Tuesday the 23rd (6 days ago). I'm finally able to sip enough fluids without feeling pain. Anyway, does any clear sugar free beverage count towards 64oz liquids? For example a caffeine free herbal tea.

Thanks!

@@ChrissyNYC I was sleeved on Tuesday too. I still have difficulty with getting all my fluids in but for some reason this morning i turned a corner and actually drank half a Protein shake for Breakfast (it took me about 30 minutes, but i got in half of a 17oz shake). Its still uncomfortable, no pain but it feels like i have a bubble in my chest as it goes down. But in answer to your question....my doctor also told me decaf tea counts as Fluid.

My NUT always says caffeine is a diuretic so you have to subtract any fluids with caffeine from your total. Decaf is fine.
