  • Tomato soup was one of my the first foods I could tolerate. It's easy to make at home and most restaurants serve it too- ditto on it being a lifesaver.

I ate a lot of ProtiDiet tomato basil soup on my clear phases. It has a decent amount of Protein. I also started drinking V8 during my clear phase. As long as it is allowed on your post-op food plan

As long as it is allowed on your post-op food plan, why not?

the acid from tomatoes and tomato products bothered my pouch at first, but I eat them all the time now. As long as they don't bother you, I'd say go for it!

I found that an added dollop of milk made the tomato soup creamier, less acidic and fortified it in a way that made it higher in Protein. Mmmm, it's still a favourite of mine.
