Hello everyone! I'm in the last two weeks of my last month of diet before I go to insurance for approval! I'm super excited and also super nervous because idk how long it will take to get insurance approval, or if they will even approve me at all. Anyone else have WellCare KY and can give me advice?

Have you heard anything???? My final appointment before they submit for approval is tomorrow morning and I am terrified. My biggest fear is going through this and getting denied. I also have wellcare.

I have wellcare and I'm in West ky! I just finished my 7th appt. I have a surgery date for Oct 24th, my doc schedules surgery after we get the psych evaluation finished.

They are submitting my stuff this week. I'm nervous. I have a 40+bmi plus some health issues. I hope I don't get denied. I have done everything and even lost a little.

I got my approval within a day!!! You shouldn't have any issues, especially if you have co-morbidities. My pre-op class is Thursday.

Thanks I hope not! My bmi is over 40 anyway lol. It'll probably drop after my preoperative diet. Which is just a low carb liver shrinking diet. No liquid diet thankfully. Are u from KY?

Curious how things went I am from Ky too, did they make anyone wait 6 months, or go thru the classes for 6-12 months? I am in northern Ky and was hoping to have mine done in Cincinnati.

I am in northern ky. Finished my 6 months of appointments, classes, and specialty referrals for pulmonary and cardiology. It's been 2 weeks since they sent for approval. I'm also wondering how it went.
