Hello everyone,
I saw my surgeon in June of this year and I had my surgery on August 4th, 2016. Surgery was great it only took an hour and from the time I was put under to woke up was only 3 hours'ish. Post surgery was easy, sips of Water, walking around, peeing in a container. This was my very first surgery in my life. Took my medicine by mouth no problem, no nausea, no catheter, and no real pain, all good stuff. I woke up ate some chicken broth drank more water and went home. Went back to work this past Friday. I am a little over a week post op and have lost 17 pounds. Still no real pain just slight discomfort if I move quick. I have mowed my yard and continue back working out the day week 1 was over so back to 4 miles a day, tried running but it felt weird so back to walking. Doctor said no lifting tried push-ups and sit-ups. Both doable but felt weird.
Eating is fun honestly. I'm on creamy stuff this week and I love Soups and yogurts and Protein shakes so it fits. Lil worried about the amount I'm I taking but will see how the weight is a month out, appointment on the 29th so a few days short. I feel like I am eating all the time now compared to before surgery I'd only eat maybe twice a day due to work and schedule.
I am excited for week 3 mushy foods. I have yet to feel full or anything so I'm hoping this next week I may get that chance. I still don't feel hungry and I am not experiencing hunger pains. I will most definitely keep you all up to date.
