Your surgeon is having you do this as pre-op? Ugh.

Not everyone has severe cramping, but some do. I would certainly expect loose stools with a lot of urgency. My instructions to patients in the ER we were sending it home with was to not get too far from a bathroom when drinking it because it hits fast and hard.

I had to do this the night before my surgery. It worked in about 30 minutes. Slept through the night, woke up with some light cramping and had another loose movement. Make sure to drink a ton of water.
