Overthinking

Hi there everyone, Day 5 of my liquid diet today, jumped on the scale this morning and I am down 11 pounds. I haven't really been hungry. Hard to believe and have to wonder how good that can be for my body, but I am not going to complain about it. I have been in really good spirits until today, when I got a little irritated with someone. A little afraid that my social life with my husband and friends is going to be negatively affected, like I won't be able to enjoy eating out...that is one of my biggest fears. I know this will be good, just need to stay positive.

You will have a great time eating out once you get past the immediate post-op weeks. You'll be more able to focus on enjoying the company of your husband and friends instead of being so focused on food (you'll eventually get to the point of enjoying food again, but it can be more of a background thing).

If you are like me, you may also have been someone who worried about whether the restaurant chairs or booths would fit you comfortably, whether other people were judging you for your food choices, etc. Soon you'll lose enough weight that all those types of concerns will disappear, and make going out even more enjoyable. Good luck!

Yup.......overthinking for sure.

Your health is the primary concern and focus. Everything else is a distant concern.
