Hi all,
I got a referral from my PCP to see a surgeon this coming September. I have been reviewing my insurance and they want 6 months of a physician supervised diet within the past 2 years (which I don't have) plus 3 month pre-op diet. They say that I have to show at least a 5% loss during the 3 months but if I lose more than 10% they could extend the physician supervised diet and postpose or deny surgery. Has anyome lost too much on their pre-op diet and been denied?
