I am having surgery on 8/4 and will probably drive. Did anyone else leave their car at the border crossing? From what I can tell online, it seems safe, but I just wondered what other's experiences were like?

I'm debating if I should just drive to the San Diego airport and have them pick me up there as if I was flying.

Any insight is appreciated!

I parked my car at the border crossing. But that was over 30 years ago and I did not park it overnight. It was safe back then but I do not know about now.

Not sure what city you're in but I took the Amtrak. Took an Uber/Lyft from the train station to the airport to be picked up. They dropped me off at the train station coming back.

I booked mine in February for June so it only cost me $70 round trip with a business seat on the way back.

@@determinedtolive that's a great idea about the Amtrak. I'm in Phoenix so about 6 hours out.

I'm in SoCal so I was going to take an Uber all the way to San Diego. My boss is the one that suggested Amtrak and it was a fantastic suggestion! I could relax and not have to worry about a thing.

I did my trip to Old Towne which is about 14 minutes from the airport but I think the next stop might be just slightly closer to the airport.

I'm in San Diego and parked my car at Border Crossing for my surgery in May. It is easy and safe and cheaper than airport parking. Good Luck!
